Your memorable Engelberg Swiss Alpine Village Tour from Zurich experience begins when you meet the bus at the Sihlquai coach parking lot. Please check in at least 15 minutes before departure.
From Zürich, you’ll take the scenic route to the charming town of Lucerne. Your guide points out the most eminent landmarks before leaving you to explore Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), a wooden bridge first built in the 14th century, and the octagonal Water Tower (Wasserturm), a fortification from the 13th century.
You’ll next go to Engelberg,a typical Swiss alpine village located in a sunny basin under the north-face of Mt. Titlis. Surrounded by majestic mountains, Engelberg was founded by Benedictine monks. Their imposing baroque-style monastery with the largest organ in Switzerland still dominates the center. Here you’ll plan your own itinerary. You can enjoy a stroll around the village, perhaps visiting the cheese factory and the monastery Or, if you prefer, you can hike one of the trails in the beautiful surroundings.
You’ll return to Zürich and will be dropped off at the Sihlquai coach parking lot. From there, you are free to make your own way back to your accommodation.
