Join the tour at the meeting point and let the guide take you through the former World Trade Center site. The guide will be a New Yorker and will have a personal connection to the tragic 9/11 incident. Listen to their personal stories and the touching account of everyday citizens who experienced one of the worst terror attacks in the world.
The first stop in your tour will be at Manhattan’s oldest surviving church, St Paul’s Chapel, which miraculously survived the falling buildings and debris from the 9/11 attacks. During the aftermath of the attacks, the chapel was turned into a makeshift rescue centre with a bulletin board where family members posted notices about their missing loved ones.
Next, you will head to the Firefighter's 9/11 Memorial Wall, and see the Engine and Ladder Company 10/10, the fire station at Ground Zero.
Continue your tour and visit the 9/11 Memorial which commemorates those who lost their lives in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. See the large man-made waterfall, the Reflecting Absence Memorial cascading down at the footprints of the Twin Towers. The pools are inscribed with nearly 3,000 names, listing the victims of the 9/11 attacks and the attack of February 26, 1993. You will also see the new Freedom Towers and World Trade Center standing tall on the site today.
Your guide will leave you at the 9/11 Memorial Museum which you will tour at your own pace. Before handing over the museum tickets, the guide will give a preview of the museum and reveal the must-see items. The 9/11 Memorial Museum houses multimedia displays and artefacts from the Twin Towers, representing the impact and implications of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Hear harrowing stories from the survivors and witnesses during the time of the attack.
Your tour ends at the museum.
