The Montjuic cable car service starts at 10 am. You’ll be awestruck by the striking aerial views of Barcelona. The well secure and tested cable cars deliver a bird’s eye views of the famous city sites and attractions including Plaça de Catalunya, Santa Eulalia Cathedral, the Sagrada Familia, the port, the Olympic Village, the Agbar Tower and the Forum.
You can access the cable car service from three stations: the Montjuic Park, the famous Mirador de l’Alcalde lookout and the Montjuic Castle. From the Montjuic Park station, you can take an exciting climb to the beautiful castle at the summit of the picturesque mountain of Montjuic, which is perched 170-metres above the city and harbour. The Mirador station is accessible only on downhill journeys. Each station has close proximity to famous site seeing places. You can visit the attractions (not included in the cable car ride price) and can access the next cable car service from that station.
Montjuic Park: You can choose to visit the major attractions close to this lovely station including the Mirò Foundation, National Palace, Poble Espanyol and the Mies van der Rohe pavilion or you can relax with the spectacular views alone.
The Mirador station: This station has easy access to the Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens, a paradise for cactus fans, and the Mirador de l’Alcalde, from where you can enjoy amazing views of the city and the Collserola Mountains.
The Montjuic Castle: You can enjoy views of the magnificent Montjuic Castle or visit the castle (admission to the castle not included in the ride).
The journey itself lasts about 10 minutes and there are gondola services on average every 20 minutes. You can spend as much time exploring the stations and its attractions as you’d like.
